What’s better on a hot, sunny day than a fresh fruit juice? This one’s sweet and refreshing, perfect for a morning pick me up or an afternoon refresher. Although oranges are always in the spotlight for vitamin C content, did you know that kiwis actually contain more vitamin C? You get about one and a half times the recommended daily value from one kiwi. How awesome is that. Along with loads of vitamin C (kiwi, apple, and lime), this juice is packed with fiber (apple), protein and antioxidants (mint and spirulina). So, dust off your juicer and let’s get juicing.
Makes 1 glass of juice
Refresher Juice Ingredients:
- 2 gala apples
- 2 kiwi fruit
- 1 lime
- 10-20 sprigs of mint
- 1 teaspoon spirulina powder
- Cut the apple into quarters so that it fits in your juicer.
- Place apples, kiwis, and lime in juicer. My juicer doesn’t extract the juice from mint, so I added the mint and spirulina along with the juice into my blender afterwards. If you can juice the mint, go for it.
- Pour into your favourite glass, sip, and enjoy.
