Made in Montreal: The Tides Are High with MimiHammer Swimwear

The weather is warming, and one of my pet peeves is approaching: shopping for swimwear.  I can never find the balance between too-skimpy bikinis and full piece mom suits.  Until now.
I was instantly drawn to the unique handmade designs of these feminine swimsuits by Montreal designer, MimiHammer.  Mimihammer was created in 2010 by Camille Forcherio and Joao Crisostomo and has received a lot of recognition in this short time for its stylish swimwear.  Rather than sticking to the same old nylon, MimiHammer incorporates retro designs with alluring fabrics including vintage lace and mesh to really complement the pieces. The prints are fabulous, from feminine florals to dainty polka dots to vibrant aztec.  Finally, I have found comfort in a two-piece, with their acclaimed extra high waisted bottoms.

The Spring/Summer 2013 Collection has me lusting for a few different pieces.  Here are a few of my favourites.

Paracas Desert

White Hirondelle

Caravelle Anchor

Birds of the New Land

Juliette S. Blanco
